Penco (CHILE)

The city of Penco is located on the shores of the Ocean Pacific.

It has a superificie of 134 KM and a population of 47,500 inhabitants, its origins refer to the first site of the city of Concepción.

On March 29, 1843 was erected as Penco Village and April 25, 1898 received the title of city.

THE PENCO BEACH

Penco beach is a great attraction for the family enjoy the sea and the gray sand. Hundreds of vacationers each year confirm this. The spa is three kilometers long is 12 kilometers from Concepción, integrated into the province of the same name, Eighth Region of Bio-Bio.

Currently this resort has three lifeguard towers, more rescue personnel and search for missing children, so also is available to tourists sector toilets, showers and restaurant.

a) The Penco "Malecon" (2013)

 Located on the north side of the beach, at the height of the estuary of Penco Street and Yerba Buena. It is a renovated walk 400 meters long represented an investment by the government and municipality. It located obviously on the beach. Also considers three pedestrian ramps that ensure universal access to the beach, a place semicircular stepped tiered system evacuation rainwater, public lighting and street furniture (and shaded, benches and trash cans), children's playground, footbridge on the estuary of Penco, step regulated the iron and ciclobanda line.

b) Court and skating rink (2015) 

 Also located around the beach, between Talcahuano and Membrillar streets (CasinOriente restaurant ZONE) This square skating has more than a thousand square meters, and is one of the progressive efforts of Mayor Victor Hugo Figueroa Penco. The place has green areas, seating and water sources. The track was built in a space recovered from the demolition of an old abandoned Railways still life.
